Frequently Asked Questions
When Should We Book?
Generally, we book about 12-15 months out. We do require a non-refundable deposit in order to save your date, however, it does apply to your final balance.
Do Your Only Serve Events On The Weekends?
No, we are available 7 days a week and can accommodate any time of day! If you have an event in the afternoon, we’ll be there! An event during the week? No problem!
How Far Will You Travel?
Located in Hanover, Virginia, The Shaken Not Spurred Bar will be happy to race to the venue of your choice! Travel up to 40 miles from our stable is included in our Classic Packages; $3 per mile that exceeds 40 miles.
Is Alcohol Included?
According to Virginia state laws, we are not permitted to purchase or sell alcohol. However, we do offer a concierge service (for an extra cost) for pickup and delivery of your order to the venue. After your event, the remaining alcohol is all yours!
Do You Offer Custom Packages?
We offer two different Classic packages:
The Signature package includes our horse trailer bar.
The Eras package includes your choice of our modern bar, vintage bar, and linen bar.
Both Packages include everything needed for a successful luxury bar experience!
We can also work with you on a custom package to include add-ons, décor and other portable bar options.
Can we choose our cocktails?
Great question! All of our packages include the full bar experience including beer, wine and two signature drinks. Special syrups, floral garnishes and more signature drinks can be added to your package for an additional cost. At your consultation, you will be able to select a suggested cocktail from our menu or choose a signature drink of your own.
Can you also make standard bar drinks?
Absolutely! You purchase the alcohol of your choice and we can accommodate all of your guests’ preferences including the classics like Jack and Coke, Gin and Tonic, or Vodka and Soda. We provide all bar tools, supplies, décor, sodas, mixers, ice, garnishes, napkins, etc. with every booking!
What type of decorations are included?
We love dressing up our bars with décor to fit any aesthetic! Just let us know what you see that catches your eye or leave it up to us to beautifully decorate the bar of your choice to match your specific event style.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured with general liability and liquor liability insurance for every event we serve. We’ve gotcha covered!
